The clinical value analysis facilitator is accountable for supporting the clinical value analysis function between Optum Health Supply Chain and Care Delivery Organizations (CDOs). The person in this role is responsible for working to identify and evaluate the value of clinical products, equipment and services used in patient care across the enterprise. Primary focus will be assisting in driving cost efficiency through product standardization and utilization while maintaining the quality and safety of the products for optimal patient care outcomes.
The successful candidate must be passionate about customer service and a service first culture, driving value and performance improvements related to Optum Health’s clinical non-acute categories in cost and service. This is a customer facing role and involves direct interactions with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. The ideal candidate must demonstrate mental agility and customer- centric mind set to deliver value to the work force across the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrates solid collaboration skills and a service excellence / servant leadership mentality
- Assists leadership in managing value analysis process from the time of proposal to implementation and final results
- Supports cross-function collaboration across all clinical and non-clinical disciplines to define, promote, communicate, and implement identified cost reduction strategies and standardization opportunities across the health system
- Responsible for ongoing review and management of supply chain backorders, discontinued items, and substitute products
- Develops communication tools to provide the status of back ordered and discontinued products to the end users and supply chain staff until a resolution is achieved
- Helps to identify clinically equivalent products when disruptions to preferred products occur and educates the Optum Health Supply Chain team on the equivalency, differences, and use cases
- Works closely with data analyst team in providing clinical expertise to support data collection, categorization, cleansing, and analysis of selected product spend categories
- Oversees new product trial process including coordination, criteria development, deployment of evaluation forms & sample products, gather results and communicate with the committee
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to ensure effective purposeful project outcomes
- Prepares and communicates value analysis team meeting agenda, meeting minutes, clinical presentations to conduct the meetings in a professional, concise, and timely manner
- Provides clinical support to strategic onboarding of new mergers and acquisitions
- Collaborates with buyers, materials, contracting and data analysts in support of the Value Analysis function
- Ability to prioritize work demands, problem solve, engage critical thinking skills and work with minimal supervision
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the leadership

Required Qualifications
- Unrestricted RN License
- 1+ years of clinical experience in acute or non-acute care setting
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge in Microsoft word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management
- Healthcare resource or supply chain management experience
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of materials/supply chain management
- Ability to analyze datasets and translate into actionable plans
- Able to conduct presentations and facilitate large group meetings

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
