Position Overview
- Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts
- Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts
- Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-today service delivery
- Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles
- Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales
- Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives (including "OTH" plans) belong in a sales band

Primary Responsibilities
- Manages Specialty implementation for Optum Rx direct and coalition external commercial clients including TPAs and Health Plan new groups
- May assist on new highly complex Health Plans or other highly complex commercial implementations
- Acts as outward-facing resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center)
- Builds relationships with clients (not individual members)
- Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs
- May travel to client site or OptumRx service centers to provide consultative services and recommendations (less than 10%)
- Analyzes reports to determine client trends, recommendations, and implements programs appropriate for the client
- Works with other departments to develop operational solutions and recommendations
- Monitors new patient transition to Optum Specialty Pharmacy during first 30 days after Go Live date
- Transitions client to account management for ongoing service once implementation is complete
- Participates on one or more Implementation Improvement teams and may be responsible for improvement project execution
- Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
- Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
- Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
- Translates concepts into practice
- Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
- Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others
- Acts as a resource for others with less experience

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Pharmacy Benefit Management or Healthcare Account Management experience
- 1+ years Project Management experience (implementation)
- 1+ years working in a client management or client implementation role
- 1+ years of experience presenting to clients
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- 18 years of age or older

- Online reporting database experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
