This position is a hybrid / on-site role located in Sugar Land, Texas.
What the BI & Data Science Manager Does Each Day:
- Develops and manages operational processes across BI function (Project Delivery - Scope, Design, Delivery and Testing; BI Infrastructure - Enhancement, Monitoring and Maintenance; Support – User and technical)
- Collaborates with key business users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery
- Translates business requirements to deliver to the team and ensures projects are delivered on time and meets business requirements
- Designs and implements BI Infrastructure and tools to support analytics needs of various functions within the organization
- Identifies opportunities across BI environment for enhancements including Infrastructure, Reports and Operational processes
- Collaborates with other functional teams to ensure data integrity and data accuracy across systems and functions
- Designs and implements data models that help in identifying patterns and trends. Collaboration Work with data engineers to optimize and maintain data pipelines
- Performs quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights and provide analytical, data-driven decision-making
- Identifies and recommends process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the data platform

Minimum Requirements For This Role - A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years’ IT/BI experience and significant design and implementation experience with key BI and analytics concepts and technologies with minimum 5+ years of managerial experience in full life cycle of development/reporting/integration projects: planning, design, development, testing and rollout
- Prior experience in managing BI teams (multi-site) and establishing maintenance and support processes
- Proficiency with: Python, R, Microsoft Copilot and Machine Learning and AI technologies, SQL, data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI and R Shiny
- Proficient in Python with a focus on Data Analytics Packages. Strategy Analyses large, complex data sets and provides actionable insights to inform business decisions
- Working experience with various algorithms to do various predictive analytics
- Experience with regenerative AI
- Strong expertise in the following tools and technologies:
- Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, ODI, Azure Pipelines MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Synapse Tableau (or) Microsoft Power BI.
- Azure, or BI training or certifications
- Data Warehouse / Data mining experience
- MS Excel and Power point
- Experience working on large datasets from multiple sources; ability to extract insights from structured/unstructured data essential
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa will not sponsor applicants for work visas
