Our Staff Pharmacist plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. This is a full-time role for our 2nd shift, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. This is a set, consistent schedule based on site in our Sugar Land, Texas location. This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.
What The Staff Pharmacist Does Each Day
- Maintains records necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; ensures legal operation of the compounding operation, including meeting all inspection and other requirements of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation
- Oversees individual state licensing and registration requirements
- Provides oversight for compounding operations to ensure that corresponding documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with GMPs (21CFR210 and 211)
- Reviews and authorizes master batch record documentation for correct formulation to ensure clinical aspects of the compounded drug product
- Ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements in daily activities
- Provides guidance and routine support to pharmacy technicians engaged in dispensing, formulation, compounding, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceuticals
- Answers questions and provides information to staff on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals
- May provide functional supervision to professional and support staff including training, assigning duties, and providing input for performance evaluations
- Serving as a backup to the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), capable of taking on PIC duties when needed
- Collaborate with site leadership to oversee investigation and resolution of incidents, deviations, and non-compliance issues
- Possesses the ability to obtain pharmacist licensure in additional states as needed, in accordance with individual state regulations

Minimum Requirements For This Role
- BS. in Pharmacy or Pharm D. licensed in Texas with ability to license in additional states
- 2 – 4 years related experience as a licensed pharmacist
- Extensive experience in sterile compounding
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Excellent technical writing and verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient with computers and word processing software (i.e., Microsoft Office products)
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
