Accreditation Compliance Manager - Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation
Job Summary:
Contributes to the development, implementation, and coordination of systems and processes necessary to meet pharmacy accreditation requirements, ensures compliance with accreditation requirements and processes, implements Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and best practices for optimization of pharmacy operations related to accreditation. Supports and contributes to individual pharmacy or enterprise accreditation activities, as necessary.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):
Work in conjunction with the Pharmacy Support Specialists to ensure compliance with service expectations and achievement of performance goals and objectives for each pharmacy seeking or maintaining accreditation.
Conduct and/or oversee quarterly mock audits and gap analyses to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and track/trend issues to develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare reports, contribute, and participate in the Enterprise Quality Management Committee and/or Sub-Committees such as Medication Safety, Education and Training, and Policy and Procedures and/or other regional or enterprise-level activities to support accreditation compliance and quality improvement.
Develops and participates in presentations and consulting with internal and external teams on accreditation requirements, activities, and outcomes.
Develop, implement, and deliver training programs for all levels of pharmacy personnel.
Coordinate training schedule with members of management.
Develop and maintain continual education support materials to assist the pharmacy staff in learning the accreditation requirements and processes to support compliance. These materials will be used for reference once training has been completed.
Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and/or business technologies as it relates to improving accreditation compliance.
Assist with staff training and the implementation of processes related to meeting accreditation standards including requirements for Continuous Quality Improvement, Performance Improvement projects, Quality Management, and compliance with all accreditation standards.
Perform routine internal audits to monitor quality markers and various reporting metrics in order to improve pharmacy quality and audit performance and to maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.

May serve as Performance Improvement Coordinator to support the pharmacy accreditation process for the pharmacy system and participates in all relevant discussions and meetings, which may include Performance Improvement, Quality Management, and/or Continuous Quality Improvement.
Participate and support regional and enterprise level activities as required.
Analyze processes required for business functions and make suggestions on improving work procedures in the pharmacies to improve efficiency of workflow as it relates to accreditation compliance.

Qualifications
Education: AAS degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education relevant to the role.
Experience: Experience in compliance, healthcare, quality, and/or accreditation required; experience with ACHC and/or URAC specialty pharmacy accreditation required. Minimum 3 years’ experience relevant to duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of pharmacy accreditation requirements such as ACHC and URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation.
Knowledge of generally accepted pharmacy principles, practices and procedures.Work effectively in a team environment and communicate well using virtual tools when team members are geographically dispersed.
Must be detail oriented, be able to work independently, and possess self-motivation skills.
Work effectively in situations with limited information and moderate ambiguity.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal pharmacy support.
Ability to work with close attention to detail and minimal errors. Must be alert, attentive, and precise.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willing to learn Smartsheet, Confluence, and other tools as necessary.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
