Maxor Specialty Pharmacy in downtown Amarillo, TX is hiring a certified pharmacy technician that will be working as an IV Technician. This support personnel person will perform key job functions within the service and fulfillment work-flow for Maxor’s Specialty Pharmacy Division.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix sterile IV products, gather pharmaceutical supplies and enteral products for use in the alternate care setting.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning functions per USP 797 standards and completes appropriate documentation.
- Record and monitor room temperatures, humidity and pressures as appropriate
- Follows USP 797 standards regarding environmental and quality assurance monitoring (i.e fingertip/surface samples, media fill).
- Maintains continuing education requirements as outlined by the state board of pharmacy.
- May be required to lift up to 40 pounds, includes all personnel who may work in the pharmacy workroom areas
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position and duties.
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with customers, personnel, and other outside agencies.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.
- May require sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of computer.
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician as required by applicable SBOP
Experience
- One - two year’s relevant experience.
- Prefer IV Technician experience and certification or to become IV Certified within time-frame specified by pharmacy manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to accurately enter data into a computer system
- Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure
- Ability to work through and solve problems independently
- Positive attitude, innovative, self-starter
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
Work Shedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts during regular pharmacy hours
- Additional hours as required
- Rotating on call responsibilities may be required
