Overview
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for software validation testing and support to ensure software systems to meet customer requirements for both small systems and enterprise applications of varying complexities; 1) Evaluates system requirements, plan, and develop test scenarios and/or use cases, 2) Execution of test scenarios and/or use cases with appropriate results documentation, 3) Documentation of software deficiencies with follow-up resolution with software developers, 4) Coordinate activities with software developers, analysts, and clients to complete system testing, 5) Retesting resolved defects, 6) Maintains Test Environment,7) Execute Regression Testing

Responsibilities
Executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards.
Develops and writes testing scripts and plans to ensure that software functions as expected.
Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects.
Verifies fixes.
Documents testing according to required procedures
Adhere to defects management during test life cycles
Train customers and validate ability to use and run applications and document results
Participates and assists in software requirements gathering for both custom-developed and commercial off the shelf systems.
Developing and documenting test scenarios and/or use cases to validate software works as designed.
Execute test scenarios and/or use cases and document results.
Works with software development teams to address and resolves defects.
Provide customer training and provide support to customers who experience problems with computing systems.
Follows software compliance standards
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors of Science or Bachelor Business Administration from an accredited college or university in a computer science or related field
Experience
- 2-4 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding and application of software testing principals, theories, concepts and techniques and a basic knowledge of other IT related disciplines related to:
- Development of test scenarios and/or use cases for both custom-developed as well as commercial off the shelf systems.
- Non functional software testing (Performance, Usability, Security)
- Testing Tools and methodologies
- Defect Analysis and Resolution
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word
- Ability to conduct customer training and identify/resolve customer issues with software
- Knowledge of Pharmacy applications or Healthcare is highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of SQL experience is preferred
- Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.
