Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for the project management team (including preconstruction managers, project managers, and schedulers.
- Develop and direct project management operations.
- Oversee the work of preconstruction managers, project managers and project schedulers.
- Oversee and coordinate the resources needed for projects within the defined scope provided from the client.
- Provide strategy for projects and establish standards, processes, and tools to ensure their successful delivery.
- Set productivity and quality targets and assess results. Ensuring the project management team is meeting necessary deliverable deadlines to clients.
- Monitor project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects and processes.
- Help escalate project issues that might impede project delivery and coordinate solutions with the assigned preconstruction manager, project manager, or project scheduler on the project.
- Participate in design, project evaluation, studies, value engineering, scheduling, and constructability reviews
- Prepare RFP documents including instructions to bidders documents, bid form(s), scope(s) of work
- Manage RFPs through life of process including issuing addendums and answering RFI(s) and performing the analysis as listed below:
- Conduct scope gap and level analysis of each proposal
- Participate and lead follow-up interviews with each bidder to identify scope gaps, overlaps, double-ups, unnecessary contingencies, and other risk factors within each bidder’s proposal
- Perform value engineering review and present any viable opportunities
- Recommend EPC contractor based on weighted criteria process
- Support clients review EPC, TSA, and Supplier contract exhibits for completeness
- Update contract exhibits as required for completeness and conformity to terms and stipulations within the overall agreement
- Support clients through EPC/TSA/Supplier/ Project Acquisition Agreement negotiations acting as one of their subject matter experts on the construction and key commercial items throughout the negotiation process.
- Support clients on project M&A through review of project documentation to perform red-flag reviews of the project development and constructability aspects. Including, but not limited to, performing due diligence site visits to potential M&A projects, and developing due diligence reports highlighting opportunities, risks, and overall constructability of potential M&A projects.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to support RFP processes, Due Diligence visits, supporting project managers during monthly meetings, and as additionally necessary to support project management team
- Work closely with project schedulers to develop scheduling standards and template schedules for the scheduling department
- Manage team of project schedulers and support their scheduling work in complex scenarios where higher level of competency for scheduling practices and construction sequencing and process may be required
- Communicates with owners, engineers, suppliers, and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements.
- Provides support to Business Development team as necessary to maintain relationships with existing client base.
- Keeps accurate meeting notes at all meetings.
- Manages scope development and scope analysis.

Education, Certifications, and Experience
- College Degree
- Experience in the Renewable Energy Industry necessary (wind, solar, battery storage, transmission)
- 8+ Years of relevant work experience
- Project Management or Construction Management experience required.
