How You’ll Add Value…
We are currently hiring a Sr Accountant within our Global Cost Accounting Function to provide cost accounting support to multiple sites across the United States. Reporting to the Sr. Cost Accounting Manager, this role will involve various general and cost accounting activities that support our monthly & quarterly financial close. As an integral part of our corporate accounting team, you will perform inventory related processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and account flux analysis.
What You’ll Do…
- Perform standard monthly journal entries related to inventory and other key balance sheet accounts
- Close manufacturing work orders in conjunction with site manufacturing leads ensuring appropriate variances are properly analyzed.
- Ensure completion of various inventory related internal control activities
- Execute monthly and quarterly inventory reporting for internal and external purposes
- Support annual standard cost setting process
- Support and monitor monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts
- Lead execution of monthly inventory counts for our Multiomics business
- Complete monthly account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
- Prepare quarterly flux analysis
- Collaborate as needed with internal accounting teams, and internal/external auditors
What you will Bring...
- A Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting or Finance; an MBA, CMA or CPA is a plus
- 3+ years or progressive experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost and inventory accounting concepts under US GAAP
- Roll-up your sleeves approach and ability to problem solve
- Experience with accounting software applications, ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite required. Knowledge of the Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task in complex and dynamic environments
- Experience working at a global company in a SOX compliant environment is a plus
