Route Driver
Reports to: Facility Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Driver plays a key role in the success of our business. The successful individual will be able to safely and efficiently complete customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines. This individual will interact with customers, employees, members of Sr. Management, and regulatory representatives. In every case, this individual must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation.
CDL preferred but not required..
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Drive vehicle to customer location along determined route collecting material for delivery to designated location
•Safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
•Report for and successfully complete all training as required
•Prepare and report Pre & Post trip inspections
•Maintain Driver’s Hours of Service Log as required
•Review and sign manifests and shipping papers
•Customer training, (manifesting, packaging, etc)
•Properly load and secure materials for transport
•Refuel vehicle as needed
•Other tasks and responsibilities as needed or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•Must have a good driving record within 3 years, no accident reported
•Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators
•Must understand how to use computer for data entry
•Must be able to use software app on mobile phone for manifest documentation
•Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
•Quickly adapt to changing business demands
•Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, software and protocols
•Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
•Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
•Strong communication skills
•Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
•Climbing in and out of vehicle and cargo area
•Pleasant demeanor with other employees, customers and regulators
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
•Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
•Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
•Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
•Must have a current, valid driver's license
•Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy

•Able to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
•Able to push and pull containers weighing up to 250 lbs. (96-gallon totes)
•Able to load and unload materials into truck
•Able to climb in and out of vehicle and cargo area multiple times per day

•Able to maintain focus and analyze data
•Able to speak and communicate proficiently
•Routine physical exertion: standing, walking, climbing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending
