Project Manager Summary
Responsible for managing project(s) to meet or exceed customer expectations through flawless execution of pre-defined plans including but not limited to product design/specification, prototype development, testing, documentation, manufacturing readiness assessment, etc. Responsible for meeting all assigned financial targets. Manages internal cross functional resources. Works on multiple simultaneous complex projects and issues diverse in scope where time management is required. Work with project managers and cross functional team members across the organization to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
Essential Functions
- Develops strong relationships internally within R&D, Operations, Global Customer Service, Marketing, and Quality.
- Ensures that product designs are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FDA).
- Plans and coordinates activities involved in moving products successfully through the product life cycle from concept definition through final commercialization.
- Coordinates the efforts of cross functional teams to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Communicates status of projects to management team on regular basis.
- Defines scope, cost and deliverables for projects.
- Works with Engineering to develop product specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; engineering, business, or life sciences preferred.
- Three years experience in project management role preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams to successful completion of projects.
- Experience in medical device industry strongly preferred.
