Position Summary: The Director, People Information Management and Systems (HRIS) will lead the strategic direction, implementation, and management of the global Human Capital Management (HCM) system (Oracle Cloud). This role is responsible for overseeing the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the HRIS applications, ensuring they support and enhance People & Strategy operations and initiatives. This role involves ensuring the system is effectively meeting the needs of the organization, improving People & Strategy processes, and providing strategic insights from People & Strategy data. This role will collaborate with People & Strategy Leaders and IT to optimize system functionality, improve data integrity, and drive People & Strategy insights and analytics to inform business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and executive the HRIS strategy in alignment with the overall People & Strategy and business objectives.
- Evaluate and optimize automated workflows and processes.
- Oversee the implementation and management of HRIS applications, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization.
- Collaborate with the People & Strategy team to identify system requirements and enhancements to support processes and initiatives.
- Lead HRIS/HCM roadmap and optimization strategy by building streamlined and effective solutions that enable key people initiatives.
- Lead HRIS team in managing system configuration, maintenance, and user support.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy within the HRIS.
- Develop and implement People & Strategy analytics to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and ensure the effective delivery of services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement with People & Strategy operations, utilizing process improvement methodologies to implement efficient and effective changes.
- Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new applications and processes.
- Maintain and develop deep technical understanding of HR technology and trends and best practices to continually improve HRIS functionality.
- Manage relationships with HRIS vendors, ensuring optimal service and support.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to HRIS team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Preferred certification designation(s): Human Resources Information Program Professional (HRIP).
- Experience: Minimum twelve (12) years of experience with five (5) years leadership experience; seven (7) years of experience working with Oracle Cloud domain and processes, implementing Oracle modules including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and final solution rollout. Expert level experience with Oracle modules preferred, including Core HR, Recruiting/Onboarding, Performance/Talent Management, and Compensation/Benefits. Expert level experience implementing and/or upgrading a HCM system. HCM software applications and products especially Oracle Cloud administration. Proven experience in HRIS implementation and project management.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience in managing HRIS teams within a multinational or global organization.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HR processes and HRIS applications (e.g. Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Analytics: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Additional Requirements
Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Requires the capability for <25% travel domestically and internationally.
