Your role at Baxter
Quality Technician performs daily quality testing of materials to ensure that materials being received are produced in accordance to company methodology, procedures, and standards. Quality Technician collects and inspects incoming materials to determine if they meet quality specification and standards. This level will require guidance from more seasoned technicians on more complex situations or new circumstances/situations that have not yet been encountered.
What you'll be doing
Samples and inspects API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), Excipients, Laminated Rollstock, Printed Direction Inserts, Labels, and Cartons.
- Releases materials for production after quality inspections and/or tests are completed and acceptable.
- Adjusts and calibrates equipment as needed.
- Strong computer/software literacy to perform proofreading and laminated rollstock thickness testing.
- Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical processes and other control procedures.
- Uses small hand tools and various measuring and testing devices in performing quality tests.
- Preferred applicants have experience with various Forklift models but not required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform other physical duties.
- Will work in both Drug Delivery, Penicillin, and Cephalosporin facilities as needed.
- Regular overtime will be required to meet the production schedule.
What you'll bring

- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Good writing and verbal communication skills, and problem solving skills are required.
- Ability to work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements.
- Complete understanding of cGMPs and GDPs.
- Sitting, standing, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing, pulling and stretching may be required occasionally.
- 20/30 vision in at least one eye with or without corrective lenses.
- The candidate must be able to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment with minimal direct supervision.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $40,000-$55,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
