The National Sales Manager Foundation Equipment holds a key leadership role in the company. The person is responsible for planning and implementation of sales and marketing activities to meet company targets for retention, growth and profitability. Drives the overall brand strategy of the company, including ensuring products meet the needs of the marketplace. This position works closely with the LUS- MCC Management to ensure these targets are met and ensure growth and strategic positioning of the Liebherr Brand. This position directs and coordinates the activities of the Sales and Applications Teams and directly organizes and develops engagement activities for Key Accounts.
Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates activities within the Sales and Applications Team, which is responsible for sales activities with the end customer. Leads team in development and management of customer relationships in the US, and identifies, coordinates and develops effective business relationships with the customers to ensure maximum market penetration.
- Aligns LUS MCC efforts with product and market strategies of LWN Foundations Equipment Strategies where applicable.
- Develops sales and equipment rental plans and budgets for Foundation Equipment.
- Directly manages sales activity and business development for Key accounts.
- Coordinates activities with the Marketing Department and/or Senior Management-Sales Support & Product Marketing, which includes planning and implementation of marketing strategy, including advertising and PR, planning and execution of trade shows.
- Planning and implementation of customer retention / development programs.
- Works closely with the Divisional Director to ensure company targets for growth, retention and profitability are met.
- Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals for Foundation Equipment business.
- Actively manages inputs into CRM and SAM as necessary to support and manage territory.
- Communicates actively with LWN Foundation Equipment team on product, market and industry trends and developments.
Competencies
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) in Business Management or equivalent preferred, with five to seven years sales or marketing of leadership experience or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 10 or more years in relevant industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mobile & crawler crane products and the industry.
- Demonstrated strong supervisory skills and the ability to direct and manage others.
- Should have poise and confidence when speaking and presenting to groups for training and product introductions.
- Sound judgment and high integrity with ability to perform duties at customer sites and locations as required.
- Ability to create and foster a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality training and related product knowledge to others within the organization as well as team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to function in a team environment and work with other groups.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 70% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
