The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager is to maintain customer relationships and increases sales, profitability and market share within assigned sales territory with an emphasis on Foundation Equipment, while collaborating closely with the other MCC sales teams. Regional Sales Manager will also mentor and develop less experienced Sales Managers for the good of the sales team as required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sales and equipment rental activities in assigned territory
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective market strategies and sales plans to achieve company sales and profit goals
- Sells company’s products and services by calling on prospective and established customers
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients and potential new clients
- Manages key account relationships as required to maintain relationships and negotiate and close sales
- Coordinates and liaises with other MCC departments
- Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
- Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
- Responsible for reporting to upper level management about progress on a weekly basis
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining customer relationships while achieving sales and profit goals
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
- Actively manages inputs into CRM and SAM as necessary to support and manage territory
- Coomunicates actively with National Sales Manager regarding territory requirements for products, service, support and monitors industry trends.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products
- Mentors and develops less experienced sales managers within the department under the direction of management.
Competencies
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, and/or at least 5 years of prior technical sales experience, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Demonstrates customer service experience
- Demonstrates initiative to visualize, organize, manage, and complete projects in individual and group settings
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff
- Demonstrates ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in MS Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in production and/or maintenance of equipment, or equivalent technical knowledge is preferred.
- Travel domestically up to 75% of the time and internationally intermittently
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
