Maintenance Planner to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible to assist in the creation and implementation of maintenance work plans through a partnership with internal customers and external vendors which support the site strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements work plans for internal and external resources to reduce downtime, increase reliability, ensure parts availability, optimize resources, and increase overall maintenance department effectiveness and efficiency. Performs lessons learned debriefs and elevates issues to management. Identifies opportunities for training during the planning process and work with management to determine feasibility and take action.
- Provides data and metrics to maintenance coaches on team performance in relationship to work order management (aging backlog, data integrity). Reviews work orders submitted for approval, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and taking action on any follow-up steps required. Generates reports for MRT’s and management to understand work demands and future planning needs. Collaborates with internal customers and external vendors to maximize wrench time. Orders necessary parts to ensure they are on hand for on time preventive maintenance work order completion.
- Plans work and build relationships within maintenance and engineering and with key vendors via coordination and collaboration. Spends appropriate time in the production and maintenance areas to effectively learn their internal customers & processes to ensure knowledge is up to date on technologies to effectively develop plans and optimize maintenance. Engages in collaborative problem-solving with customers to ensure compliance to date-sensitive maintenance. Shares expertise and best practices with other staff as applicable.
- Supports, as assigned, medium to large scale work/projects, i.e. – HEPA certification, Shutdown activities. Assists project engineering with maintenance relevant activities. Participates on departmental or cross-functional project teams. Performs lessons learned debriefs and elevates issues to management. Analyzes work and processes and provide feedback to management.
Qualifications:

- Minimum 10-years’ experience with extensive maintenance repairs of industrial equipment; including, but not limited to manufacturing or packaging equipment. Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, belt/chain drive and gear boxes, clutches & brakes, fasteners, lubrication, bearings, seals & gaskets, instrumentation, measurement, process control, etc.
- A degree in a technical field or applicable military training may help satisfy the "years’ experience" requirement.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation skills are required along with the ability to perform multiple tasks and priorities. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system). Previous pharmaceutical industry experience.
