Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and auditing patient records. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: There is not a regular set schedule for this position. This position works a minimum 4 hours per month and up to a maximum of 19 hours per week, day, evening and night shifts, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays. There is a shift differential for some shifts.
Starting Pay: $23/hour based on related experience plus shift differential for some shifts.
About the Facility: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 456-bed facility offering a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, three Family Health Centers, and the only Burn Center serving San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo and Mono counties. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacies: Arrowhead provides both Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy Services. The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24/7, 365 days a year while the Outpatient Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-9:00pm and weekends and holidays from 8:00am-7:30pm. The pharmacies utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and FSI.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current California Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in either an inpatient or outpatient pharmacy. Training will be provided if current experience is in an outpatient pharmacy
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full
