As a full time, nonexemptCPS Solutions, LLC Drug Information Staff Pharmacist at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. Other responsibilities as the Drug Information Staff Pharmacist include:
- Answering CPS/ARMC drug information questions
- Assist with monitoring and reporting in P&T Committee, Med Safety, etc.
- Assist with updating policies/procedures/order sets
- Investigational drug studies
- Medication safety
- Precepting/coordinating students and interns
Schedule: This full time, nonexempt position will work 40 hours per week, day/evening/night shifts, during the week, weekends and holidays in this 24/7 pharmacy.
Starting Pay: $60-$75/hour (based on related work experience)
About the Facility: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 456-bed facility featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. It is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center, three Family Health Centers, and the only Burn Center serving the San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo and Mono counties. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacies: Arrowhead provides both Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy Services. The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24/7, 365 days a year while the Outpatient Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-9:00pm and weekends and holidays from 8:00am-7:30pm. The pharmacies utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and FSI.
Required Qualifications:
- A Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current State of California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program required
- Experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy required
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, verbal and written
- Proficiency in computer entry including experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full
