The
Senior Cinematographer is responsible for administering the production of high-quality videos within Zebra’s in house creative agency, Twenty6 Studios. Implements creative video solutions with all aspects of video production, including but not limited to, equipment used, pre-production (script and storyboard development), production (video shooting, lighting, and sound), post-production (editing). Will collaborate with video team and project managers to ensure standards are met for video. Conducts the troubleshooting of video production workflow issues on set and tests performance of gear. The Cinematographer, Senior will provide solutions during pre-production and production and act as the primary camera operator on production day while shooting in a broad range of styles. Uses a forward-thinking mindset to stay at the forefront of industry standards to build and deliver best-in-class video for Zebra Technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Actively captures cinematic caliber video content
- Filming as a crew for studio or on location: including shooting, lighting, and sound where required
- Editing projects individually and cooperatively with Twenty6 Studios team
- Crew work (camera operation, gripping, audio, set design, etc.)
- Responsible for generation of shot lists, workflow, systemization, and camera settings to achieve the highest image quality and creative goals of cinematography in the digital space
- Collaborates on production plans for video shoots to stay organized on production day (List of equipment being used, roles, timeline, etc.)
- Produces fresh and quality work that translates complex and innovative ideas into compelling videos from concept to completion
- Meets with internal and external stakeholders to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts
- Assists the Supervisor Video Production with script, shot list, and storyboard development as necessary
- Participates in brainstorming sessions to share new ideas and perspectives
- Under regular instruction, manages the posting and distribution of video assets to a common digital asset management system and key stakeholders
- Advising freelance cinematographer
- Proven ability to design and execute complex lighting setups with a strong understanding of visual composition, framing, and camera angles to enhance storytelling
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in art or related design field such as fine arts, digital media, or visual communications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in cinematography/video production at a creative/advertising agency or in-house creative agency
- Reel or Portfolio including examples of work must be submitted for consideration
- Work hybrid schedule in Lincolnshire, IL
- Able to travel 25%
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency with full frame cinematic caliber and DSLR cameras, such as Canon Cinema EOS cameras, Sony a7S, and more in collaboration with Canon EF and Cine lenses
- Proven technical acumen and technical curiosity for advanced level production, shooting, editing, camera rigging
- Superior understanding of video equipment (camera accessories, lighting, and audio) and editing software: Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Audition
- Proficient with still photography
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish on short timelines
- Demonstrate a collaborative, cross-functional approach for planning and problem solving
- Highly creative with the willingness to continually explore new creative paths
- Curious mind that seeks answers for producing content that engages more people, more often, for longer periods of time

Salary: USD 82500.00 - USD 123700.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
