Who are we looking for?
This is a 10-week program beginning December 4, 2025, and ending February 14, 2025. This will be a part-time (up to 29 hours/week maximum) with the potential to go full-time in the future role.
At XiFin, much of our success can be attributed to the strength of our relationship between sales and marketing. The Marketing Communications Intern contributes to existing programs while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a range of marketing functions, including but not limited to communications, content creation, advertising, branding, digital, and social media. The Marketing Communications Intern must be an organized multitasker, have a strong attention to detail, be able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously, receive direction from multiple team members, prioritize project workloads, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are important for this role.
What will you do?
- Support marketing team members in the coordination of meetings, events, conferences, webinars, and trade shows with a variety of responsibilities including identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
- Provide support to the marketing organization in areas including maintain 90-day marketing calendar, track marketing budgets, forecasts, and expenses, and update project management tasks (Teamwork) and calendars
- Maintain inventory of sales and customer success support materials (e.g. branded merchandise), ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials when necessary
- Help track departmental budgets, purchase orders from submission to approval to reconciliation.
- Conduct research on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape, and prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing data
- Provide content development using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) for outbound communications (email, social media, etc.) to deliver first drafts to project owners
- Other projects and duties may be assigned.
This is an onsite position at our office in San Diego, CA.
What education and experience do you need?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a relevant field
- Experience in marketing coordination or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Experience using data analytics software for research

What does the position pay?
The hourly compensation for this role is $20.00 for undergraduate students and $21.00 for graduate students
