Position: Financial Analyst
Department: Operations/Strategic Support
Reports To: Director of Finance
Primary Function
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and analyzing employee and organizational performance, efficacy, and productivity.
Job Scope And Major Responsibilities
- Update, Improve, and Maintain existing reporting and dashboard requirements in support of Operations and the business.
- Monitor and analyze program level KPIs and call center data to identify issues, potential risks & opportunities.
- Establish benchmarks based on statistical analysis of data samples, industry averages or customer estimates and juxtapose achievements against expectations.
- Identify variances to benchmarks and assist with initiatives to improve employee and organizational performance, efficacy, and productivity.
- Monitor exception reports and report deficiencies/failures to the appropriate team/department to correct issues.
- When not available, assist in working with IT to develop reports / dashboards needed to monitor and analyze performance and productivity (overall company, program level and employee level).
- Ensure Senior Management has visibility to program KPIs and metrics.
- Conduct weekly meetings with leadership teams to review key performance metrics. Ensure issues are escalated to senior management. Track and follow-up on open issues.
- Identify deficiencies in operations process and suggest areas for improvement and redesign. Develop and assist in the implementation of strategies to more effectively gauge existing processes to address operational shortcomings.
- Produce and automate ADHOC custom reports, assessments, and models for multiple departments.
- Ad hoc analyses, special projects and other responsibilities as needed.
- Perform any administrative and other duties assigned.
- Work outside of core business hours may be required.
- Compliance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations, as amended (“HIPAA”).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has obtained a minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferably in finance or accounting. 2-3 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred but not required. Superior Microsoft Office skills. Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- Tableau skills preferred, but not required
- Basic knowledge in SQL preferred to conduct queries or run analysis
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- High degree of initiative and the ability to be self-motivated
- Experience in financial & business analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Public speaking / presentation skills required
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
