Job Summary
We are seeking a Cagewash Technician II to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Springhouse, PA.
As the Cagewash Technician II, you will provide support, oversight, and troubleshooting in the absence of the Cagewash Foreman.
Additional Responsibilities Include
- Operate equipment and uses supplies according to safety guidelines; performs general housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures.
- Sanitizes, maintains, and repairs caging materials as needed.
- Maintain cagewash facilities in a clean and organized manner, in adherence with all SOP and facility requirements.
- Disposes of waste materials in a safe and thorough manner as required.
- Maintains facility equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance on cagewash and autoclaves, including routine inspection of cleaning filters and roto-arms.
- Assists with the receipt, stocking and maintenance of supply inventories.
- Prepares and submits required written records, charts, logs and inventories.
- Actively interacts with customers as required to resolve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance.
- Maintains consistent practice of general company and safety policies and procedures and MSDS guidelines, including those related to biohazards and radioactive substances..
- In the absence of the Cagewash Foreman, is responsible for scheduling the staff, ensuring the work is completed, and that all related paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for conducting trouble shooting on the equipment and reporting any problems to the Foreman or back up Supervisor.
- If necessary, communicating directly with the manufacturers on problems with the equipment.
- Assists the Cagewash Foreman with training the staff, either as re-training, group training or new hire training.
Job Qualifications
The following are minimum requirements related to the Cagewash Technician II position:
- High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent.
- Minimum of twelve months successful performance in Cagewash facility operations.
The pay range for this position is $18.00-$19.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
