As Strategic Human Resources Business Partner, you will partner with several Group Vice Presidents/Executive Level leaders who are responsible for leading functional divisions across Industrial Group with team members globally.
You will proactively identify, define, and implement appropriate HR, Talent, and Organizational Design strategies to enable the business to increase performance and lead and manage the people management agenda. You will also have overall accountability for the successful delivery of new and existing HR initiatives. You will report to the Industrial Group GVP Human Resources.
The role can be based in the US, UK or Europe.
At Moog, our Strategic HRBPs are highly visible and are members of the business management team, contributing to strategy development, policies, and decision making beyond HR issues.
To be considered for the role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Typically, 10+ years of HR work related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategy development, organizational design, and change management efforts.
- Experience working with, influencing, and credibly advising senior leaders in HR matters.
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; organizational ability; facilitation skills; presentation skills
- Proven ability to understand complex organizational issues
- Proven experience development and deployment HR and Talent KPIs and dashboards, measuring the people-health of the business, projecting future impacts, and taking action to development solutions to address concerns.
As a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner, You Will
- Lead the development and deployment of Talent and HR strategies that align to the strategies and goals of the functional divisions your directly partner with, while leading the deployment of Enterprise and COE HR programs and initiatives.
- Develop strong customer relationships with the senior leadership team and provide effective, value-added support to the leadership team that is focused on enabling business performance. Understand the strategic business objectives and contribute to the creation, execution and ongoing development and delivery of that strategy.
- Develop, own, and implement an HR strategy that drives employee engagement and supports the delivery of the overall business strategy. Continually challenge the status quo and introduce new processes/practices or amend current ways of working to aid delivery of business strategy and help the business be financially successful and hit corporate objectives.
- Provide leadership and expertise in organizational development, organizational design, and change management. Continuously review the organization effectiveness and identify / implement changes needed to ensure the organization is set up to succeed.
- Take ownership and lead the roll out (& subsequent actions) of critical talent management tasks such as the talent identification process (talent matrix / talent profile), performance management process and succession planning process. Own the talent pool and ensure that the talent pipeline and bench strength is continuously improved to meet future business needs.
- Engender a best practice approach to people management, acting as coach, facilitator, and role model. Act as the guardian of the Moog Culture and Philosophy.
- Take ownership and proactively manage and control employee metrics and ensure that data integrity standards are upheld. Leverage talent data to measure against performance and financial goals of the division and develop strategies to enable the Long-Range Plan.
- Construct and deployment HR and Talent KPIs and dashboards for all of Industrial Group, along with Divisions, measuring the people-health of the business, projecting future impacts, and take action to development solutions in conjunction with other IG (S)HRBPs to address concerns.
- Take lead in collaborating with and facilitating project plans or rollout strategies for Group Talent and HR initiatives, bringing together (S)HRBP colleagues and GVP of Human Resources for planning, alignment, and execution requirements.
- Take ownership of the successful delivery and implementation of ‘business as usual’ activities. Lead Group wide or Moog wide projects that may have a global impact or participate in a significant Group wide or Moog wide project representing either HR or their business unit.
- Successfully introduce/implement the new HR operating model and proactively work to improve the effectiveness of the model on an ongoing basis. Collaborate and work in partnership with other HR areas (HR Operations, HR IT, Talent, and Reward CoEs), in the development and continual improvement of policies, processes and initiatives. Be the voice of the business with respect to other parts of HR.
- When appropriate, assist with diligence and integration of M&A activities, site expansion or consolidation plans and key objectives to grow and diversify the portfolio.
- Travel approximately 25% globally, ensuring a strong understanding of each leaders strategic priorities, talent capabilities and talent needs while forming strong and trusting relationships to support business objectives.
The base pay range for this opportunity is $160,000 - $190,000 per year, or equivalent benchmark in Europe/UK.
