The Role
The Business Intelligence Lead will drive efforts to improve our digital ecosystem and enhance data integration capabilities across the Global Drug Substance Network. This role will focus on identifying and implementing digital tools, streamlining data processes, and ensuring effective data utilization to support operational excellence and improvement initiatives across the Drug Substance value chain.
Here’s What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Digital and DS Network leadership to align digital and data initiatives with overall business strategy.
- Lead the development and implementation of data strategy for the Drug Substance Network, ensuring effective data governance and utilization.
- Lead the assessment and implementation of digital tools and technologies to enhance data tracking, entry, and integration.
- Partner with the Digital organization to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including CMOs, to identify digital improvement opportunities.
- Develop and manage project plans, ensuring timely delivery of improvements in alignment with business goals.
- Identify and integrate advanced digital tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and data utilization.
- Optimize data management practices, including data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting.
- Provide training and support to team members on new digital tools and processes.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of digital initiatives that impact the Drug Substance Network and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data security requirements.
- Foster a culture of digital innovation and data-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Follow all relevant GMP and GLP regulations, guidelines, and company policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in digital strategy, data integration, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (7+ years with a Master's degree).
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Specific Certifications or Training: Proven track record of implementing digital tools and improving data processes.
- Other Quantifiable Preference:
- Strong project management and leadership skills,
- Knowledge of CSV requirements,
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities,
- Knowledge of SQL, cloud computing, Python or R programming.

- This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
