Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst will support McKesson’s Provider Solutions Advisory Services business by supporting pharmacy and business advisors with insights and analytics. These insights and analytics will be used both internally and for presentation to specialty provider customers.
Through a combination of fundamental data analysis, data visualizations, and reporting, the Analyst will provide insights on topics such as:
- Provide Advisory Service team with Anaplan modeling and analysis support
- Data analytics for strategic planning offering, including presentation of data to customers
- Develop, maintain and enhance analytic tools for our business advisors to use for revenue cycle and managed care engagements
- Other analytic support including reimbursement trends for both infusion and self administered medications
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and support data-driven analyses that define, measure, and investigate current operational trends, financial trends, and strategic insights related to McKesson’s business
- Maintain, update, and distribute customer-facing and internal dashboards that track customer drug analytics and Key Performance Indicators
- Perform analyses that highlight and value practice performance opportunities; communicate findings to key stakeholders including senior management
- Partner with Advisory Services team to prepare and participate in presentations for customer meetings
- Perform ad-hoc, data driven analyses
- Coordinate system development with IT to enhance automation and visibility
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Critical Skills
- 4+ years of relevant data analysis experience
- Anaplan experience or the desire and ability to complete the Level 1 and Level 2 Anaplan training within the program timeline
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Business Objects experience or the ability to learn quickly
- Tableau experience or the ability to learn quickly
- PowerBI experience or the ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrated proficiency analyzing and manipulating large data sets
- Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent tasks
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations
- Must have high attention to detail and be able to deliver high quality and accurate outputs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using MS Office Suite
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
Additional Skills
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
- Results driven, with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Pharma/Oncology knowledge and experience preferred but not required
- Experience with SQL
- Up to 10% travel
