Pharmacy Technician in Training:
Community Health Pharmacy, a mail order pharmacy located in Colchester, VT. is currently accepting applications for a full time Pharmacy Technician-in-Training to work in this fast paced mail order pharmacy environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain unparalleled education and hands-on experience in the pharmacy technician field. Once finsihed in the training program, Maxor will also assit you in obtaining your national pharmacy techncian certification through our career laddering program. Candidates with previous healthcare related experience are highly preferred.
Hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. ***NO WEEKENDS*** This opportunity offers a great work environment, along with competitive wages and excellent benefits.
The Community Health Pharmacy is owned by five of Vermont’s community health centers. The mission and vision of the health centers is to deliver quality, affordable medical care to their communities. The pharmacy offers a full range of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications for all CHCB patients.
The mail order pharmacy is managed by Maxor National Pharmacy Services headquartered in Amarillo, TX.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.
- Provide friendly and cooperative customer service.
- Enter patient data and prescription information accurately.
- Ability to learn and retain informtion while multitasking in a busy environement is crucial for skill development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required.
Must be able to operate various computer systems. Ability to work effectively with co-workers as a team member.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, required
- Excellent customer service skills
