Job Summary And Qualifications
The Director of Internal Communications is a key advocate tasked with advancing the culture, image and reputation of HealthTrust Performance Group and its family of businesses. This individual works with executive leadership, department leads, the strategic marketing team, clinical and supply-chain specialists, internal councils (DEI and EAG), and peers to plan and execute an integrated internal communications plan supporting the organization’s goals and promoting our unique company culture. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence navigating and proactively identifying critical business opportunities and issues, creating and executing thoughtful plans that resonate with audiences, and implementing communications through traditional and novel channels to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
What you will do in this role:
- Weekly employee e-newsletter creation, distribution and engagement tracking
- Act as content chair for the Employee Portal and Marketing department content updates
- Participates on the DEI Council and/or Employee Advisory Committee
- Creates content for and programs digital signage throughout buildings
- Collaborates with Human Resources for employee-facing content and employee communications
- Co-owner and co-author of the annual Member Report
- Write and distribute internal executive communications, employee contests, etc.
- Maintains photo and video archives of key company milestones and events (annual time capsule)
- Creates and distributes internal employee podcast featuring business updates and highlights
- Writes and co-produces All-Hands Meetings’ Runs of Show, speeches
- Scripting for HealthTrust University Conference 1st time attendee and new member luncheon, Member Recognition Awards Run of Show
- Writes articles for The Source magazine and the annual Member Report
- Develops and acts as gatekeeper of the corporate communications style guide
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”
- This position requires working in the office. Working from home is permitted as circumstances warrant and with the leader’s approval.
What qualifications you will need:
- Degree in communications or related field: English, journalism, public relations, marketing or healthcare management. An advanced degree is preferred, required
- 10+ years in healthcare writing, communications, public relations or education required; similar responsibilities within a healthcare organization or a group purchasing organization is ideal, required
- 10+ years of experience in a senior management role either in-house or with an agency, required
- Deep experience working with executive-level and team leads across the organization, required
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and capacity to grasp complex business subjects and effectively translate the material into effective deliverables, required
- Work independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form, required
- Superior management skills. Handle multiple projects simultaneously, required
- Advanced proficiency in writing, editing, proofreading and formatting. Expert at AP style guidelines, required
- Proficiency in writing content for executives, required
- Occasional/ Intermittent Required
