GENERAL SUMMARY:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Functions with a significant level of responsibility, autonomy and expertise under administrative supervision of pharmacy management personnel. Work to meet highly specialized pharmacy business need in programs such as Diversion Prevention, Automated Dispensing Machine Support, Informatics, Medication History, Investigational Drugs or Cleanroom Specialist.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Pharmacy Operations
· Maintains knowledge of the operational functions:
o Central operations
o Sterile and hazardous medications compounding
o Decentral operations
o Controlled substances
· Provides support in the appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems.
· Maintains expertise in electronic medical records processed and accurately interprets records
· Maintains proficiency, supports the management of and actively provides coverage for applicable technician specialty position provided by Diversion Prevention Analyst, Automated Dispensing Machine (ADM) Support Specialist, Informatics Specialist, Medication History Specialist, Investigational Drug Specialist, Cleanroom Specialist, or other specialist positions. Qualifications
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION:
REQUIRED:
•Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
•Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association
