About The Opportunity
Avel eCare is seeking a
Support Specialist to provide specialized administrative and operational support to the eEmergency and eHospitalist service lines. This role involves managing scheduling, data entry, troubleshooting IT issues, and maintaining secure credentials. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision, ensuring smooth operations across multiple locations while maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support & Data Management:
- Input data into various computer systems, databases, and spreadsheets with accuracy.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance tracking, and file maintenance for employees.
- Assist with transcription, document editing, and general secretarial duties.
- Distribute interoffice mail and maintain organized records.
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Coordinate scheduling requests for both employees and service lines.
- Assist with event planning and customer service activities for eEmergency/eHospitalist sites.
- Technology & IT Troubleshooting:
- Set up and manage employee passwords, including single sign-on system processes.
- Troubleshoot IT issues, file CHILL tickets, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
- Perform video equipment checks and troubleshoot per unit guidelines.
- Project Support:
- Assist with data collection and analysis for quality improvement projects.
- Support operational efficiency initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Manage supply ordering, equipment maintenance, and other logistical needs.

Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Business background and one year of medical secretarial education (preferred).
- Two years of relevant secretarial experience in a healthcare or similar environment (preferred).

- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception as needed.

- The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
