The
Associate Software Engineer is responsible for production support of technology enabling Risk Adjustment, Quality and Care & Value segments of the WellMed Enterprise.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support an IT development operation that can involve both applications and platforms as well as infrastructure
- Work with application teams to plan, implement and troubleshoot as well as provide direction to install and maintain IT systems
- Work closely with other IT teams and individuals to maintain and improve application availability
- Basic programing and office skills to maintain the teams’ logging and metrics dashboards
- Interface with business units to understand business needs and work with them on technical solutions
- Follow change management process that includes communication and doing only approved work
- Produce and advocate for preventative, upstream solutions with internal stakeholders and external vendors and dependencies
- Guide Site Reliability best practices across the engineering organization and community

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of experience with application support
- 1+ years of experience working with SQL server technologies
- 1+ years of experience working with Splunk and Grafana
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Cloud technologies preferred
- Ability to effectively work independently or with a team as an associate software engineer
- Ability to effectively articulate and communicate concerns, issues or inquires in a timely manner

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
