Your Role at Baxter:
Through the intern program you will have the opportunity to own a portion of a technical project related to an IV container product. This will involve establishing the project scope, developing a plan, understand resourcing, performing technical evaluations in a laboratory setting, compile and analyze results and determine next steps. At the end of the internship the results of your efforts will be presented to company leadership.
What you'll be doing:
- Gain experience through exposure both sustaining product work and new product development
- Gaining a solid understanding of what is needed to develop and maintain a medical product
- Exposure to manufacturing processes
- Development and application of technical problem-solving skills
- Development of critical thinking skills
- Understand of how to plan a project including scheduling, finance and resourcing.
What you'll bring:
- Baxter is targeting students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering or related field.
- Solid technical knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Detail oriented
- Good analytical skills

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a pay rate of $26.00 an hour.
