Key Job Responsibilities
Lead all the planning & analysis aspects of the Bioprocessing and Purification (BPT) business; coordinate and consolidate BPT P&A activities and analytics. The role will provide business partnership to the VP of finance and General manager of BPT, as well partner closely with LS Finance SVP and LS finance team in managing monthly/annual performance management cycle and P&A activities. The key responsibilities will include forecast and actual analysis, monthly delivery plan coordination, quarterly business review, annual plan and strategic business review preparation, ongoing performance analysis/ad-hoc analytics to support business decisions, and decision support for critical business objectives. The role manages a team of 3 direct reports and coordinates activities across the entire BPT finance/business teams. The role will be exposed to the BPT leadership team, Global HC & LS Leadership Team, CP&A, and Ecolab Controller.
Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinate monthly and annual performance management cycle for BPT across its sub-divisions and markets
- Drive calendar, process, and reviews with all involved parties
- Identify business opportunities and drive efficiencies across BPT
- Work on mitigation actions when risks arise
- Build a reliable and transparent plan, forecast, R&O, monthly delivery plan and gap closure, actual reconciliation, and ad-hoc analytics for the BPT business to enable result delivery and decision making (incl. P&L, DSO, CAPEX)
- Annual cycle: Strategic Business Reviews; Annual Plan preparation; manage plan-related critical processes
- Drive relevant reporting and top management review preparation, incl. QBR; develop or/and improve management reports to support better business decisions
- Support BPT GM and Finance Leader on all P&A-related matters. Deliver ad-hoc analyses requested by GM or Finance VP
- Coordinate with CP&A and Across BPT/HC & LS P&A Teams, develop and process manage the entire P&A community
- Proactively seek and implement process improvement. Drive organizational synergies and process simplification between various sub-divisions and markets, manage BPT finance community on a “dotted-line” basis
- Drive SG&A planning and efficiencies
- Drive BPT P&A design and key initiatives
- Support EBS implementation, as needed.
- Drive process and systems improvements to properly support the BPT business growth
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years of work experience, three years of successful people management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have strong results in financial analysis/commercial finance/ consulting and P&A (actual analysis, forecast, planning, management reporting)
- Experience in blue chip, international, and matrix operations, pharma/chemical experience preferred
- A fast learner
- A good mix of finance professional and business / commercial acumen, a strong passion for driving business results
- A high-impact individual with a strong “sense of self” who is comfortable working with strong executive management. Must have previous experience working closely with senior-level managers
- A change agent
- A self-motivated and high-energy individual thrives in an environment characterized by growth, change, and opportunity. Has the potential to grow beyond the current role.
