The Revenue Cycle Financial Analyst II is responsible for providing general project financial and accounting support to Cencora's Lash Finance department. This includes tracking actual expenses versus budget, preparing project and program financial reports, preforming variance and trend analysis, and contract review.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing support with general accounting matters related to one or more complex projects including billing to contracts and providing Operations with the billing information to ensure accurate billing information is issued to clients.
Responsible for preparing financial reports, cost budgets and miscellaneous project set-up duties including all project setups in the billing system and providing guidance on how to set up in our time tracking system. Produces monthly reports on AR to help with collections and past due issues.
Acts as liaison by coordinating accounting matters between Operations, external clients and FP&A.
Performs financial account verification, audit, processing, account reconciliation and reporting activities.
Monitors the AR to ensure proper and consistent compliance with company approved credit and collection policies and procedures, while delivering the highest level of customer service and professionalism to internal/external customers.
Ensures revenue is recognized in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, requiring contractual knowledge.
Assists Sr. leaders with review, presentation and communication of financial results.
Responsible for general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation and month end closing.
Analyzes gross profit components monthly and reports significant variances.
Post monthly general ledger journal entries (routine recurring journals, revenue recognition, cash receipts).
Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions, within reason - financial reserve.
Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data via SharePoint.
Analytical client budget tracking to ensure proper financial stability at year end (i.e. Purchase Order, etc.).
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential (Ethical Walls and/or competing Business Units/Portfolios).
Generates ad hoc accounting reports as needed.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of accounting practices and principles
Working knowledge of accounting and planning software packages with preference using SAP
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Mastery of Microsoft Excel
