The Analyst, Supply Chain acts as a corporate liaison, working closely with customer stakeholders and on-site materials teams. This role is responsible for managing the system-wide movement, inventory, and tracking of expensed supplies, both directly and indirectly, to maximize efficiency and ensure that supplies are available when needed. The position involves developing, optimizing, tracking, and managing all cost and service elements associated with the integrated supply distribution network.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with on-site stakeholders to provide analytical support for the integrated supply distribution network, ensuring supplies are available in the most cost-effective manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide, best-in-class supply chain policies and procedures. Implement programs to enhance production, reduce costs, and minimize out-of-stock situations.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports from all pharmacy platforms to identify opportunities for cost reduction and to mitigate the risk of drug expiration.
- Analyze trends in specialty inventory usage and recommend adjustments to par levels.
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager in planning, executing, and analyzing physical inventories at Chartwell.
- Stay updated on industry changes, explore new technologies, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Provide support to back-up buyers at Chartwell and CarepathRx health system partners.
- Monitor and address requests to add new items to pharmacy platforms.
- Support supply chain functions during system upgrades, including planning and testing.
- Provide drug utilization analytics to support the Trade team in meetings with pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers.
- Support the ProCure GPO program by providing analytics to optimize and grow the GPO.
- Perform duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience in pharmacy supply chain, including purchasing, forecasting, implementing pharmacy and materials management solutions, and teamwork.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated competence in warehousing, distribution, transportation, and supply chain processes, including distribution network strategy, data analysis, demand planning, and budgeting.
- Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft or a similar ERP system, as well as proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
