Description
Technical Product Managers at MEDITECH ensure our products satisfy market/customer demands while aligning with our corporate vision and strategy. You will be responsible for your product and its marketing, building products from existing ideas and helping to develop new ideas based on industry research, experience, and formal interaction with customers and prospects. You are accountable for product messaging and positioning, go to market launches, as well as ongoing marketing programs for products, features and workflows. You should be passionate about the intersection of technology, user experience, and MEDITECH’s future growth. As a member of our Marketing team, your job would involve:
- Innovating, managing, driving, and maximizing the product life cycle from strategic planning to go-to-market strategies to overall marketing plans to ensure products are delivered to meet users' needs and continue to do so as the product evolves
- Collaborating with our Competitive Intelligence team to track, monitor, and evaluate company and competitor analytics on a routine basis. Product Managers are responsible for the market data analysis and associated solution recommendations to evaluate product market potential and expectation
- Collaborating with Product Development to communicate market needs for our products; be advocates for items needed to win sales and be competitive in the marketplace and create strategic roadmaps
- Coordinating and obtaining user feedback
- Creating and executing solution messaging and positioning; develop and execute positioning strategies for new and existing products. Defining the challenges our customers and prospects face and the benefits of our solutions. Crafting an effective story that aligns with our corporate narrative
- Contributing to, managing, and being accountable for the creation of strategic marketing collateral and deliverables
- Providing cohesiveness in messaging at the corporate/executive level both internally and externally
- Leading marketing teams to complete projects with identified timelines while ensuring consistency with our messaging and positioning and maintaining quality
- Working with Business Development on coordinating vendor/partner relationships
- Collaborating cross-divisionally to identify and secure early adopters
- Generating excitement and enthusiasm for product across the company
- Preparing and delivering presentations to internal and external groups. This includes, but is not limited to, executives, C-suite customer and prospect presentations, thought leader webinars, and speaking on behalf of MT at industry events and conferences.
- Identifying metrics to be captured and leveraged for customer success stories, sales promotion and customer adoption
- Gathering customer success stories, as well as gain feedback needed to adjust our positioning and messaging
- Identifying and managing potential issues and risks within or related to the solution
- Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with customer C-level decision makers, exhibited a thorough understanding of current organizational needs, market drivers, and how our MEDITECH can meet those challenges
- Understanding researching, and following technology trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage
- Understanding and analyzing data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems
- Serving as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or associate degree preferred and/or 2-3 years of applicable work or military experience
- Engineering or Computer Science major preferred, with a desire to embrace the technical parts of the product strategy
- Product Management, Product Marketing experience, training or educational background preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of healthcare experience
- Working knowledge of HL7 2.x file format and an understanding of how interface development projects work
- Familiarity with CCD and C-CDA documents
- Familiarity with X12 file formats strongly desired
- Familiarity with file parsing (XML, XSLT, etc.)
- Experience with healthcare users and software systems, with working knowledge of HL7 FHIR formats
- Working knowledge of API formats and tools (e.g. Swagger or equivalent) and event-driven architecture and tools (e.g. Kafka and similar)
- Working knowledge of common data storage formats and query languages (e.g. SQL, JSON)
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, excellent follow-through, ability to multitask, manage projects and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong research skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and networking skills
- Ability to organize and analyze detailed information and present to an executive, business, and/or technical audience using highly developed written, verbal and presentation skills is required
- Excellent leadership skills, able to influence the actions of others and be decisive when needed including the ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments, including executives
- Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature, scope, and complexity
- High level of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A self-starter who is comfortable working independently and communicating proactively with a wide range of stakeholders as well as experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- A high comfort level working with external and internal C-level executives
- Passion for product optimization.
This is a
hybrid role which includes a blend of in-office and remote work as designated by the management team.
