Position Summary:
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Responsible for the understanding and application of supply chain management concepts in a global business environment.
- Supervises activities of scheduling staff; facilitates the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process; effectively balances supply and demand as specified by S&OP; oversees the creation and maintenance of a valid Master Production Schedule (MPS) and manage delivery and inventory Key Performance Indicators: KPI include customer service levels, production schedule attainment, and inventory range of coverage; perform root cause analysis for variances and propose corrective actions.
- Manages activities of Schedulers and Detailed Schedulers including: ensuring execution of job responsibilities, day-to-day coaching, employee development, annual performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Understands demand management and forecasting, strategic sourcing and purchasing; Understands business and supply chain strategy.
- Collaborates with R&D and Engineering to properly reflect changing project timelines into the MPS to drive appropriate MRP requirements.
- Continuously pursues optimization of ERP system utilization. Monitors operational KPI's and identifies root cause of variations, particularly for delivery and inventory KPIs.

- Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
- Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.
