Job Summary
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serving as the planner for Distribution, with a key focus on order and inventory strategy.
Effectively planning, controlling, maintaining, and monitoring daily Logistics operations to ensure high operational efficiency, on-time delivery of shipments, and customer satisfaction.
Monitoring and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely product delivery by planning manufacturing work orders and developing effective inventory planning models.
Relying on experience, judgment, and analysis to meet targeted customer service levels
Responsibilities
- Ensure planned shipment of finished products to external customers according to customer order dates.
- Generate shipping documentation.
- Performs necessary functions within SAP including reviewing inventory reports and updating purchase order information as needed.
- Resolves all logistical related issues (i.e. temperature excursions, shipment damage, data logger logistics.
- Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which enhance planning and operations.
- Analyze inventory and maintain updated parameters in SAP.
- Identify risk of obsolescence and take actions to reduce impact.
- Ensure effective communication with internal & external stakeholders.
- Performs special projects, as assigned.
- All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have 3+ years of experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess excellent time management skills and can manage multiple priorities.
- Communicates effectively with a broad range of multicultural, domestic and international partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is critical (Excel, Power BI).
- SAP experience
- Must demonstrate effective decision-making skills.
- Must have a strong knowledge of supply chain & inventory practices. Familiarity with manufacturing environment is desired
- Operationally independent and self-motivated.
- Understands customer service management.
