Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and manages Safety Programs, policies and procedures.
- Organizes and oversees all required safety training ex: LOTO (Lockout Tagout), Forklift, Fall Protection, Crane.
- Conducts Safety Orientation for all new hire permanent and temporary employees and contractors.
- Provides Supervisors/Shift leads with safety training topics for pre-shift meeting and sends monthly topics to cover for the month.
- Conducts Safety Orientation for all new hire permanent and temporary employees and contractors.
- Identifies gaps in training curriculum by analyzing injury/illness data.
- Oversees GDC (Global Data Center) Near Miss/Observation for plant
- Identifies hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.
- Manages all federal, state, and local environmental permits and ensure compliance.
- Assist inspection personnel from insurance carrier, OSHA, EPA, DOT etc.
- Responsible for purchasing safety equipment and supplies (i.e. PPE) and establishing relationships with vendors.
- Prepares monthly incident reports
- Supervises maintenance of OSHA 300 log
- Assist with the administration of the worker's compensation program
- Recommends and budgets for safety capital expenditure items and annual safety budget.
- Manages all property and casualty insurance claims
- Performs any other duties established by the Regional EHS Director
- Others duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Inustrial Safety Management or Related Field preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- 3-5 years Safety Experience in an injection molding setting preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 Lbs.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and other government regulations.
