Oversees and enhances the quality assurance processes within our supplies and sensors division. This role involves collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing quality-related issues to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
This position requires onsite work in either the Greenville, WI, McAllen, TX, Flowery Branch, GA or San Diego, CA locations.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular assessments to evaluate their quality performance and adherence to specifications. Focus on improving the division’s Supplier Quality Policy, establishing an appropriate framework for supplier management. This enhancement will ensure clarity and consistency in how we engage with our suppliers, further elevating our quality standards
- Onboarding and Qualification: Lead the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring they meet Zebra’s quality standards and requirements. Conduct thorough evaluations and audits to qualify suppliers before integration into the supply chain
- Quality Assurance: Establish and implement quality control procedures and policies for incoming materials and components. Monitor supplier quality metrics and lead root cause analysis for non-conformances
- Audits and Inspections: Plan and conduct supplier audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal requirements
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, R&D and Operations, to address quality issues and drive corrective actions
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at improving supplier quality, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to suppliers on quality standards and practices. Promote a quality first mindset within the supplier base
- Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as ISO 9001, as well as Zebra's internal quality policies
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality management, preferably within the manufacturing sector
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices. Familiarity with label converting processes is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Proficiency in quality management software and statistical analysis tools
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM) is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred
Position Specific Information
- Travel Requirements: 20%-25% of time

Salary: USD 92700.00 - USD 139100.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
