athena Information Technology’s Senior Business Systems Analyst- Salesforce is responsible for implementing, configuring, testing, and supporting critical business applications. This resource must possess multidiscipline skills including but not limited to deep business acumen, solution design, advanced system configuration knowledge, interface configuration, the Software design lifecycle, User testing facilitation, and Information Technology controls.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Perform advanced application configuration while adhering to applicable ITGCs (Information Technology General Controls).
Configure system integrations though the use of APIs, ETLs, webservices, and other technical industry standards and best practices, including understanding both source/target data and any transformation or mappings needed while adhering to applicable ITGCs (Information Technology General Controls).
Act as the IT technical lead to facilitate business requirements gathering with various teams across athenahealth in support of athenahealth’s critical business applications and strategic initiatives.
Analyze and document functional and technical requirements and propose sustainable process and technical solutions designed to achieve the desired business outcome(s).
Create business process models using best practice techniques, including current and future state solution design documents using requirements gathered.
Actively engage as a member of athena IT development team and with business stakeholders to ensure development efforts achieve the desired business outcome(s).
Research production system issues as they arise and manage the process through to problem resolution, including root cause analysis, solution development, communicating with business partners, testing, and promoting the fix in a timely manner while adhering to IT development operations standards.
Facilitate unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use case and test data creation.
Support change management efforts through the creation and delivery of functional documentation and training.
Develop ad-hoc queries/reports as needed, create calculated fields, and perform light syntax development.
Maintains up-to-date advanced industry and institutional technical and functional knowledge or the application(s)
Candidate profile:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to transform business requirements into technical specifications and execute the system configuration and development necessary to achieve the desired business outcome(s). The attributes of the successful candidate are described here:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
4-6 years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise business applications with Salesforce CRM.
Salesforce BSA and Admin certifications are preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SalesforceDX, VS Code, BitBucket, Git is preferred
Experience creating and executing unit, integration and user acceptance test plans is preferred
Up to date with new salesforce features and effectively leverage in the organization.
Great advantage hands on working experience with implementing and configuring app exchange application with salesforce CRM. (i.e., Engageware and Consensus etc..)
Substantial knowledge and understanding of cloud-based application design and implementation.
A depth of experience with the IT SOX and SOC environment required, (e.g. appropriate security, change management, and operations management controls) in an institution of athena size and scope.
Previous experience working in multiple SDLCs, with a focus in Agile preferred.
Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Precise attention to detail with a positive attitude and healthy sense of humor.
Must be comfortable with juggling multiple priorities with the ability to manage time effectively.
