The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer II, you’ll design, develop, and optimize electrical systems and components, applying your expertise in electrical engineering principles. You will lead the creation of detailed schematics, perform testing, and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high performance and reliability. Working both independently and with cross-functional teams, you’ll integrate electrical systems into larger products and contribute throughout the product lifecycle—from concept to production. In addition to managing your own projects, you’ll mentor junior engineers, guide design reviews, and collaborate to solve challenging engineering problems.
What you’ll do:
- Evaluate Electrical Systems: Design and conduct research programs to assess the capabilities of electrical systems, products, components, and applications, applying your expertise in electricity and materials. Ensure all system designs comply with industry standards, including ANSI Y14, NEC, NFPA 79, OSHA, and other applicable regulations, to guarantee safety, reliability, and regulatory adherence.
- Develop Testing Methods: Design and implement testing methods to confirm system and component capabilities, ensuring performance standards are met.
- Create Electrical Products: Work closely with customers to understand requirements, and design, test, and improve manufacturing and assembly methods for electrical products.
- Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop and modify equipment and processes for building and assembling electrical components, collaborating with operators for insights and improvements.
- Ensure Product Quality: Design electrical testing procedures and test finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Analyze and Report: Prepare detailed product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends to inform decision-making.
- Provide Engineering Support: Answer questions and provide technical guidance to support other teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain Compliance: Uphold iA’s reputation by ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Keep Equipment Operational: Follow manufacturer instructions and established procedures to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
- Manage Product Database: Write computer programs, enter data, and maintain product databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Lead and Train: Provide guidance and training to technicians, helping them develop their skills and complete projects successfully.
- Collaborate for Success: Contribute to the team by collaborating across departments to accomplish project goals and achieve results.
- Program: You will write the PLC Control logic that controls complex systems and subsystems.
Who you are:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a solid understanding of design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in PLC programming.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation:
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $89,081.70 to $120,522.30, though a candidate's base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
