Title: Project Management
Location: Waukegan, Illinois
Duration: 6 Month
IT Project Management Resource will play a key role in supporting all IT Project and Program Managers in Business and Technology Services within the Talent Development Office in BTS. Under the direction of the Director, IT Talent, OCM, and Marketing & Communications, this individual will support the IT Project Management community with understanding Abbott IT project management approaches, associated training and tools, and how they can be successful in the current operating environment.
Responsibilities Include
- Train Abbott IT Project and Program Managers on the use of standard tools and processes in support of managing IT projects.
- Partner with the IT Project Management Office and Talent Development Office on process and skill-building initiatives for IT Project and Program Managers.
- Support the IT PM community, driving continuous improvement with experienced Project and Program Managers, fostering interest in PM acumen and personal development across the IT organization.
- Advise, coach, and facilitate discussions with IT project leads and leaders on Project Management best practices, approaches, and resources.
- Provide regular updates to management on Project Management capabilities, tracking project management delivery against objectives.

- Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle

Minimum Experience / Training Required
- Extensive experience (at least 5+ years) leading IT projects for multiple global, complex technology implementations
- Prior Abbott experience desired
