The Role
As we continue to grow as one QuidelOrtho we are seeking a Supply Planner II to work in our Fluids Manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. The Supply Planner will be responsible for production paperwork and raw material purchases to ensure the smooth flow of production for the Fluids Manufacturing site. Production paperwork includes SAP work orders, checklists, job instructions and other Device History Record (DHR) content. They will create, distribute, and collect/reconcile all paperwork as production is completed to ensure timely release of materials for shipment. The individual will work closely with members of Production, Quality, and Warehousing on a daily basis. They will also engage with Product Support, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, and other support functions as-needed. Purchasing responsibilities will include developing material purchase plans, issuing Purchase Orders, Scheduling Agreements, invoice reconciliation, and adjusting delivery dates with vendors as needed. The individual will also update master data as needed, including SAP BOMs, PIRs, Source Lists, etc. The Production Planner will participate in meetings discussing production schedules and provide necessary feedback. This position will provide backup to other members of the team as needed and will also be required to monitor and adjust work tasks to ensure production schedules are met.

The Responsibilities
- Analyze demand, inventory and production capacity to develop optimized production plans.
- Review the planned orders schedule for multiple stages of manufacturing and create firm orders within the frozen period (MRP). Includes the creation of work orders and accompanying device history record paperwork to the shop floor.
- Work with Manufacturing and Quality team to ensure orders are completed on time and in full or rescheduled within constrained situations.
- Includes completion of production work orders and device history record paperwork.
- Monitor WIP materials for upcoming expiration and mitigate scrap.
- Update schedules for planned downtime in production for maintenance, holidays or other events.
- Partner with Buyers to ensure raw material availability for production requirements.
- Work with the Warehouse to coordinate outbound shipment schedules and maintain inventory controls.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields or related experience in the field. 3-4 years of related experience in supply chain.Strong knowledge of ERP systems.Proficient in Microsoft Excel.Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.Possesses good organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.Required Travel:
Preferred
- APICS CPIM certification.
- Experience in SAP.

The Work Environment
The work environment characteristics are representative of an office environment. Up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time. No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials (up to 10 lbs.) is required. Will require domestic and international travel up to 20%. Ability to travel on short notice.
Salary Transparency
Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. Salary range for this position is $58,000 to $99,000 and is bonus eligible.
