The Opportunity
athenahealth is seeking a Senior UX Engineer to join our Patient Experience team. You know that the finest user experiences are crafted through attention to every detail. You’re passionate about creating a solid foundation that empowers designers and developers to create great experiences for patients.
This role requires a unique blend of design sensibility and technical expertise, bridging the gap between creative vision and practical implementation. You are excited to establish new best-practices for how products are designed and built, and will help bridge the design and front-end engineering disciplines. You’re excited to independently learn new technologies that enable new ways of collaboration and delivering products.
This is a full-time, temporary role that is expected to complete in 6 months.
Position Summary
This role will work with cross-functional teams to build out the next generation of our design system, and partner with the teams that use it to ensure successful adoption. Your work will significantly impact our product development process, enhancing efficiency and quality for our patient-facing experiences.
You will also partner directly with designers to quickly bring tangible examples of new concepts to life to support user research and communicating vision to stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial when teams implement complex interactions requiring the utmost attention to detail.
