CompleteRx is looking for a part-time
Pharmacy Technician to help provide exceptional patient care at CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico in Alamogordo, NM. We welcome candidates who offer experience in retail, long-term care, and mail order to apply. We can help you grow and expand your pharmacy skills.
Schedule
Our part-time position includes working every weekend:
- Friday: 12pm - 8pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 7am - 5pm
Hospital Overview
CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico has served the communities for over 67 years providing excellence in healthcare services. The hospital is an acute care medical center with additional licenses for 12 inpatient rehab beds and 38 psychiatric beds. The medical center is a non-profit accredited by DNV.
What You Will Do
- Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
- Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
- Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
- Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
- Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
- Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
- Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
- Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.
Requirements
What You Will Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of pharmacy technician experience.
- Possess a current pharmacy technician registration in the State of New Mexico.
- Possess a current National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
