The Regional Business Leader (RBL) is responsible for driving regional sales through strong account management and pull through while leading a team of Biosimilar Account Managers. The RBL will coordinate all commercial efforts in the region while collaborating closely with sales leadership and commercial stakeholders to develop an integrated strategy for success. The RBL role also involves targeted educational and promotional efforts leading to the identification and development of new customers and accounts within the region as well as increased therapy/ product adoption for appropriate patients. This will entail presenting information on products and services associated with the products to physicians, health care professionals, pharmacy staff, and others involved in the decision-making process in the clinical environment as well as at conferences and other similar events. Along with direct sales, this position also provides strategic and tactical leadership for field sales, collaborates with cross-functional team members, and aligns across functions to execute the plan and accomplish results.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures sales region meets/exceeds sales goals and other key deliverables
- Strong coaching and leadership skills of BAMs to meet sales objectives
- Effectively sell a portfolio of products and balance priorities and responsibilities so the regional goals are exceeded for all product promoted.
- Navigate and sell in complex accounts and environments across a range of Community Oncology practices with many decision makers and influencers
- Develop strong relationships with HCPs by understanding each customer's needs, goals and prescribing habits and competitive product standing.
- Utilize and leverage all available sales data to prioritize activities and resources and achieve regional objectives
- Biosimilar Account Manager management and development
- Cultivates strong business relationships with regional key opinion leaders
- Develops and leads business planning for the region to ensure sales results, including during product launches.
- Consistently target, develop, maintain and sell to existing customers and accounts. This includes difficult to see customers on a regular basis.
- Identify and attend industry events, including aggregator summits, state society and national conferences.
- Share important learnings, information, such as best practices, opportunities, and competitive threats with sales management and peers
- Maintain a high degree of competence in areas of product knowledge, disease state knowledge, and industry knowledge impacted by Amneal's products
- Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards and demonstrates company values consistently with all customers and business partners.
- Manages the relationship with one or more of the large national aggregators practicing within the Community Oncology space.
Additional Responsibilities:
- To perform the essential functions of this job, candidates may be required to register with government authorities and complete trainings as well as credentialing with industry services, which may require specific background screens, drug testing and/or proof of certain vaccinations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) from accredited college or university - Required
Experience:
- 5 years or more in pharmaceutical/medical industry experience
- 2 years or more in district manager pharmaceutical sales management experience
- Other in Experience hiring and developing pharmaceutical sales representatives
- Other in Buy and Bull experience
- Other in Contracting experience
Skills:
- Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets -
- Strong clinical sales acumen -
- Demonstrated ability to successfully motivate, develop and coach others -
- Initiative, creativity and the ability to manage change and work effectively in a complex, rapidly changing environment -
- Requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage several priorities -
- Knowledgeable about the industry and customers to make decisions and drive regional performance -
- Highly motivated, intelligent individual with strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills -
Specialized Knowledge:
- Community Oncology Sales experience ideal
- Product focus on biologics, expensive therapies, injectables and buy and bill
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $175,000. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of base salary that Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
