RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary function of our drivers is to deliver excellent service to customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times. The transportation driver is to comply with all DOT, and state regulations as well as all company safety and compliance policies regarding the operation of the truck, the weight of the load, hours worked or performing any service or function on the behalf of our company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following.
- Transportation of Medical Waste Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, other states may apply.
- Provide operational support on short notice covering routes for the following reasons (Vacation, Call outs, Deliveries, and other emergencies).
- Provide operational support in the office to Supervisor and Administrative Assistant when transportation duties aren’t available.
- Training of new employees (drivers), day shift and night shift.
- Learning of routing/ company software will be required.
- Schedule will be as followed Monday-Friday (8 hours per day) Day shift/ Night Shift. Start times will fluctuate depending on the routes that need to be covered or assistance needed.
- Must be willing to assist other departments that that fall within the Maryland District. (Example Reusable Sharps Department).
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Will need to have a valid DOT Card, Driver’s License and 3 years or more experience driving 26ft and 28ft trucks.
- Must have good planning and organizing skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the duties/responsibilities of the SQG to provide operational support.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively, and respectfully.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, in both written and spoken forms of communication.
