Job Description
Material Stager (3rd shift Sunday - Friday 10pm-6am - 15% Shift Differential and $1000 Sign On Bonus!)
The
Material Stager will report to the shift Production Supervisor and will provide required materials to the appropriate press per schedule. The
Material Stager will empty all trash and disposition recyclables during the shift and will prepare the materials needed for the following shift.
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Pre-stage all applicable materials to manufacturing presses, taking care to remove any potential tripping hazards, i.e. loose banding.
- Empty trash bins along manufacturing lines when full.
- Move full waste drums to their designated area and replace with new, labeled drums.
- Keep walkways and the manufacturing environment clean and organized.
- Return raw materials to the assigned area upon completion of runs.
- Attend to chip system.
- Prepare subsequent shift for minimum two hours runtime by fully stocking supplies, including all subcomponent boxes, skids, and gaylords.
- Perform other assigned production-related tasks or special project assignments.
- Support Corporate Programs such as 5S, ISO, SMED, Preventive Maintenance, Sustainability, and GMP.
- Other tasks as assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read, understand, and follow schedule, written instructions, and job ticket requirements.
- Ability to prioritize workload in order to provide lines with supplies needed for continued production, taking note of schedule changes timely.
- Ability to work both independently and with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization effectively and respectfully, including management and fellow coworkers.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Experience with forklift and/or material moving equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 (one) year Manufacturing Experience
- 1 (one) year Forklift Experience
Work Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with noise levels commonly requiring hearing protection.
- Industrial Chemical Exposure.
- Stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Lifting requirements:
- Wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment required, such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats or other PPE dependent on job duties.
- Minimum 10lbs
- Maximum 50lbs (Anything over 50lbs requires team lift)
- 25 pounds – 35 pounds repetitively.
- Move rolls of Plastic/Board/Foil/Liner/Label Stock – 400 pounds – 1000 pounds (rolling material on their diameter).
- Move skids weighing up to 2,500 pounds with the use of mechanical or powered Pallet Jack.
