What Finance Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance Operations is responsible for core financial operation processes. This can include customer and vendor contract administration; customer and vendor pricing, rebates, billing vendor chargeback research and reconciliation; processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment; fixed asset accounting for book and tax records; cash application; and journal entries.
- Demonstrates knowledge of financial processes, accounting policies, systems, controls, and work streams.
- Demonstrates experience working in a transactional finance environment coupled with strong internal controls.
- Possesses understanding of service level goals and objectives when providing customer support.
- Works collaboratively to respond to non-standard requests
- Possesses strong organizational skills and prioritizes getting the right things done.
- Must be able to work 11:30 am EST to 8pm EST Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Resolve and Respond to customer inquiries regarding credit card accounts, transactions, via phone.
- Provide clear and concise information to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Responsible for timely research and problem resolution of financial entries for Credit Cards and Electronic Payments
Credit Card Processing:
- Process credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify customer information and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any processing errors or discrepancies.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze credit card transaction data to identify trends and patterns.
- Prepare reports and summaries for management.
- Assist with the development and implementation of credit card policies and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Must have the ability and curiosity to understand processes and recommend standard procedures
- Assists with other duties and projects as assigned and deemed necessary to meet the business needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 2+ years of experience in credit card processing, accounting, accounts receivable or related field, preferred.
- SAP experience, preferred
- Merchant processing, preferred
- Strong understanding of credit card industry regulations and best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to handle difficult situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Anticipated hourly range: $21.80 per hour - $31.20 per hour
