Job Summary
The Analyst, Contract Marketing and Commercial Analysis extracts, analyzes, and interprets data from an array of systems to address complex business issues. The Analyst also prepares and summarizes commercial and customer analysis to identify key trends and communicates business drivers, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and product/therapy opportunities to marketing and sales teams.
This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Communicates findings, trend analyses and recommendations verbally and in writing to management and other stakeholders.
- Develops and manages reporting templates used to analyze and interpret data.
- Ensures data quality of all outgoing reports and analyses.
- Designs complex ad hoc reports to support a variety of functional areas.
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials (i.e. market competitive trends, customer specific trending).
- Identify process improvement opportunities and develop or enhance tools to assist in the work deliverables.
- Provide recommendations and review the analysis and business drivers based on cost-benefit analysis interpretation.
- Anticipate the consequences of pricing and business analysis decisions while weighing multiple factors, and review as appropriate with management.
- Act as project manager and provide analytical support / guidance for minor GPO bid roles. Assist with major GPO bid roles.
- Review and action contract compliance monthly.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on pricing activities, initiatives and deliverables for the Commercial organization.
- Analyze and prepare analysis for the weekly marketing/Commercial Contracting and Analysis update meeting and provide pricing recommendations based on these analysis and feedback.
- Use SAP, TM1, BEX, MicroStrategy, Qlik and other databases and tools to obtain, prepare, compile and analyze information.
- Analyze key KPIs such as forecast accuracy to drive improvements in our demand planning.
- Work with marketing managers and supply chain to ensure the demand forecast is entered into the system.
- Provide support during the new molecule process by ensuring models and information is up to date.
- Support the financial forecasting, budgeting and long term planning process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning roles with a proven analysis background. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Must be analytical, have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize projects.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Proficiency in Word and Outlook required and knowledge of PowerPoint, Access and Qlik experience preferred.
